Recent insights on the issue of canon from two divergent scholarly fields in biblical studies will be presented and brought into dialogue in this article. The Chinese Diaspora scholar Kwok Pui-lan develops a hermeneutical model which tries to understand the canon of the Christians, the Bible, within the multiscriptural context of Asia. This inter-religious plurality of scriptures will be highlightened against the backdrop of the Intra-Religious plurality of Psalter editions at the turn of the era, such as the pre-masoretic text, the Septuagint, and the Psalm scroll 11QPsa found in Qumran.
